I am a marine biologist broadly interested in the effects of anthropogenic disturbance on the evolution and ecology of marine organisms. I completed my B.S. in Biology with Honors at Texas A&M University in 2019 before joining the EELab at FIU. I aim to study the epigenetic interactions governing the symbiotic relationship between reef-building corals and photosynthetic dinoflagellates. This relationship is the core around which coral reefs are built, and a better understanding of the mechanisms by which it operates will help guide reef conservation and management efforts into the Anthropocene.
