I am an Associate Professor in the Department of Biological Sciences at Florida International University (Miami, FL). My lab is part of the Coasts and Oceans Division in the Institute of Environment, and the NSF CREST Center for Aquatic Chemistry and Environment at this Institution. In 2007 I got my first independent faculty position at the University of A Coruña (Spain), where I started the Environmental Epigenetics Lab. From that moment, my research goal has been focused to make fundamental contributions to the study of marine environmental epigenetics using molecular, ecological, and toxicological approaches.
