I am a Junior at FIU majoring in biology (B.S.) with a certificate in Latin American and Caribbean studies and am interested in marine life and ecosystems. Specifically, those ecosystems found in the Caribbean and how policies interact with the population of an area in order to protect inhabitants and their marine ecosystems. I joined the EELab under the supervision of graduate student Serena Hackerott to gain knowledge and experience with epigenetics and its ties to marine life.
